Welcome to the stained glass studio of Robin Anderson. I fell in love with stained glass more than a decade ago, and have discovered that no matter how long one works with glass, there's always something new to experience! Over the years, I've created a wide range of panels and designs, including custom-designed windows for homes, churches, and even a boat! My work has been featured in Glass Patterns Quarterly (see my mixed media design, "Cat Burglar," in the Favorites Gallery). In 2008, I combined my newfound love of glass with my lifelong love of pets, and began creating memorial pet portraits for pet owners who had lost a beloved animal companion. Bringing pets "to life" in glass has become not only a joy but a ministry. I've also had the honor of being commissioned to design several "best in show" trophies for several Norwegian Elkhound specialty clubs, as well as raffle prizes for the Bouvier Club of America and the Samoyed Club of America.Unfortunately, a recent hand injury has slowed me down a bit, so while I still enjoy crafting in the studio, I'm no longer able to keep up with pet portrait commissions. So I've begun dedicating the majority of my time to what has proven my greatest passion: design! I've published three volumes of dog and cat designs that offer unique, "true to life" patterns that are sure to delight any pet lover. My fourth book is a bit of a departure -- while it's still all about animals, it's a delightfully whimsical collection of Victorian animals all dressed up for work, play, and the social whirl.
